Dr Sharon Wong completed her medical degree at the University of NSW in 1999. She went on to train in rehabilitation medicine, completing her Fellowship in 2006. She has worked as a rehabilitation specialist at Nepean Hospital for over 15 years and is currently the Head of Department. She completed her associate fellowship in Medical Administration in 2019.

She has extensive experience in general rehabilitation with a special interest in spasticity management, bariatric rehabilitation and neurological rehabilitation. She is particularly interested in the psychosocial impacts of disability and complex discharge planning.

Dr Wong is actively involved in the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, as the current chair of the Accreditation Subcommittee, member of the Faculty Training Committee and accredited supervisor
and examiner.
