Increase independence and quality of life for individuals with life-limiting illness
Matilda Nepean provides an individualised palliative care program, facilitated by its friendly, caring and professional multidisciplinary team. This multidisciplinary approach has been proven to lead to increased independence and quality of life for individuals with a life-limiting illness.
Our key focus is providing palliative care programs where patients and their loved ones achieve dignity and comfort in an environment more akin to a comfortable boutique hotel than a clinical care setting.
Our team works closely with your family, loved ones and care team to tailor a care program that meets an individual’s physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural needs. Family and carers are included and offered practical and emotional support as part of this care plan.
The team includes medical specialists and nurses, physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, social workers and psychologists, specifically trained to care for individuals with complex and life-limiting health issues.
Comfortable, supported and compassionate end-of-life care
The caring palliative care team at Matilda Nepean also offers end-of-life care.
Our large palliative care rooms will accommodate a loved one who may wish to stay with the patient. This allows for maximum contact during imminent death and a close working relationship with our caring palliative care team to provide the very best individualised care to each of our patients, and their families and loved ones.
A referral from a doctor or healthcare provider is needed to access this service. Potential patients and their families are encouraged to contact a member of our care team at Matilda Nepean directly to discuss their individualised needs before obtaining a referral.
