Dr Jeyanthi Mary Arockiam is a rehabilitation specialist who holds a fellowship from the Australasian faculty of rehabilitation medicine. She has over 20 years of experience in managing rehabilitation patients. She has worked staff specialist in rehabilitation medicine at Blue Mountains District Hospital and Nepean Hospital.
She has broad clinical experience in areas including traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, geriatric, pain management orthopaedic, amputation and neurologic rehabilitation.
Her interests include orthopaedic rehabilitation, cardiac, deconditioning, falls, virtual rehabilitation, return to driving and return to work rehabilitation. She has worked in the Westmead Pain Clinic and has been managing patients with chronic pain and functional limitation in Campbell town and Katoomba. She is also an Adjunct Clinical Senior Lecturer in the School of Medicine at The University of Notre Dame.
She has special interests in neuro rehabilitation including stroke, brain injury, chronic neurological conditions like Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, nerve injuries and assisting return to work and driving and cognitive retraining. She has been looking after inpatients and day program in various private hospitals at present.
