Matilda Health Care’s vision came one step closer to reality this month with the completion of the outer structure of the Matilda Nepean, a new 90-bed sub-acute private hospital located in a world-class medical hub at Kingswood in Western Sydney.
Work is now underway on the interior fit out of the new 90-bed sub-acute private hospital.
The milestone was celebrated in a ceremony that brought together key stakeholders in the funding and construction of the hospital – including Australian Unity and Taylor Construction – local dignitaries and guests from local and state government, local health care groups and community-based organisations.
“We’re proud to work in partnership with such leading organisations to deliver this state-of-the-art health care facility to Western Sydney,” said Dr Harry Pannu, founder, managing director and CEO of Matilda Health Care.
Construction of the new $44 million hospital facility is scheduled for completion by November 2022 with the hospital due to open to patients in February 2023.
Matilda Nepean will provide world-class services in the areas of in and out-patient rehabilitation, medical and geriatric care, palliative care, mental health, hydrotherapy and a range of wellness services.
It will offer patients five-star quality of care in a boutique environment; one that combines hospital services with a hotel-like experience.
Dr Pannu said the hospital would provide much-needed additional health care services to people living in the rapidly expanding suburbs of Western Sydney.
The new hospital is being built in a world-class medical hub adjacent to Nepean Hospital at Kingswood in Western Sydney.
